The Board of Directors of The Norwegian International School (NIS) seek to appoint a Head of Primary to work closely with the Headteacher and lead on the exciting development of the school’s primary phase education.

NIS has recently relocated to excellent purpose built accommodation situated in Port Harcourt. NIS is a very happy, well established and highly regarded school which is at a very exciting stage of expansion and development. Pupils are wonderful to teach and parents are supportive. Both academic and behavioural expectations are high.

The school are currently seeking to appoint a well qualified Head of Primary who has experience of the English National Curriculum. This is a new position and would suit somebody who is very enthusiastic about playing a pivotal senior role in the ongoing development of the school.

Applicants need to have a strong background in team building and assessment. Experience of implementing and embedding cohesive monitoring and tracking pupil attainment would be an added advantage. The role includes some teaching, to be decided,in line withthe successful candidate’s strengths.

A competitive salary package is provided including furnished high quality accommodation very close to school, utilities, medical cover, two flights annually and the use of a pooled car and driver. Salary is paid partly in local currency (taxed) and partly offshore (untaxed).
