Ogunjobi orders coaches to attend NIPOGA

CHAIRMAN, Osun State Football Association, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi has ordered coaches in the state to attend the 17th NIPOGA which started yesterday at the Federal Polytechnic, Ede.
Speaking with Sunday Tribunesports in Osogbo, the former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) top shot said this was necessary in order for the coaches to discover talents that would be on parade at the week long event.
According to him, the future of Nigerian’s football is in school sports, hence the decision of the Osun State FA to focus more talent discovery from the grassroots.
“‘That the NIPOGA is taking place here in Osun State is a good development and as an association that is so interested in discovering raw footballers who would be nurtured into great stars, we see it as a big opportunity to catch them young.
”Our coaches would be on ground alongside some scouts to look for budding talents from the various polytechnics from across the country ,” said Skippo who also promised to grace the football event of the games.
Meanwhile, rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede who also doubles as the president of the NIPOGA, Dr Joseph Oke has once agin assured all participants of the readiness of the school to stage what he said would go down as the best NIPOGA in history.
He told SaturdayTribunesports in his office that every arrangement has been put in place for a successful games.
