Nollywood Veteran Esiri’s Burial Pushed to April

A recent news confirmed that late Justus Esiri’s remains would be buried in his home town, Oriaka Abraka, Delta State, in April. It has been known that the Nigerian veteran actor died on February 19 after he could not battle complications arising from diabetes.

It has been apparently confirmed by a member of the deceased’s family, George Esiri, that it’s due to Lent period currently being observed by Christians all over the world that they had to push the burial arrangement to April instead of March.

“We also celebrate his remarkable life and hope that it serves as an example to the youth to work hard to achieve their dreams, and play their own part in building a greater nation”, said a statement issued by Sidney Esiri and George Esiri, representing the family while mourning the departure of the thespian. They praised the man who has been a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend till his last breath.

Moreover, they appealed people to honour his service, accomplishment and modesty in the times to come by keeping his memory alive in their heart. It has also been claimed that there would be Christian wake-keep of the actor in Lagos, lying-in-state in Warri.
