NOLLYWOOD: Kabirat Kafidipe New Film “Malaika” Finally Out

| January 23, 2013 | 0 Comments

In a recent interview, Abeokuta, Ogun State-born actress, Kabirat Kafidipe, notes that she usually feels happy when men are looking at her. Well, while she is entitled to getting inspired from any angle, she is likely to be feeling happier at the moment.

The reason is that the latest film produced by her sister, Ayi, and herself on the platform of their Khafi Productions, has finally been released.

Coming after Oga and Iwalewa, it was later updated with some scenes added – based on feedback the producers got from experts. Also in the course of the months, Malaika flew to some festivals and special screenings in UK and the US, with Kafidipe, who came into limelight when she played the role of Arapa in Tunde Kelani’s Saworo Ide, noting that the foreign experience was rewarding for the film.

“The story is about dreams and its likely realities,” she says. “ The point we are trying to make in this movie is that in life, we have guardian angels in form of spirits. And they are assigned to guide our ways. So, whenever you dream, take it seriously especially if it is a nightmare. You don’t know what may come out of it. Sometimes they turn out to be reality. “

Malaika is being marketed by Lagos-based marketing firm, Afeesco Limited.
