No Going Back on Foreign Coach; We’ve Spent Over N100m On Keshi Without …

stephen-keshiStill unhappy with the technical depth of the Super Eagles so far in the group stages encounters in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations, the Nigeria Football Federation have resolved that there is no going back on the need for a foreign expatriate for the team.

Yesterday at the Stayeasy abode of the NFF officials, a top member of the executive board and very close ally of the federation boss told LEADERSHIP SPORTS that having spent over N100m on the Keshi and his technical crew since he was contracted, there is really nothing to show yet as dividends of such investment.

“I tell you the truth, no member of the federation’s executive board is happy with Keshi and the team’s performance. We are disappointed because with the over N100m spent on Keshi and the technical crew since they came on board, we are not seeing good results.

From the lack of technical depth, poor tactics and faulty changes, the team has only two points to show in two matches. Against Zambia for instance, why was Ahmed Musa on the pitch that long when he was not showing impact? Why has it been difficult for Ike Uche who almost single handedly took us to the competition sit on the bench and play for only two minutes? With two or five minutes what can he do? These are the questions for the coach to answer.”

The member who would rather not want to be mentioned said the motivation given to Keshi and his crew is enough for him to perform rather than give Nigerians heartaches.
