The chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, is currently in Imo, where she visited the Umuchima Health Centre in Umuchima, Ideato local government area of the state.

Legit.ng gathers that the health centre was built and equipped by a Nigerian in the diaspora identified as Festus Mbasiogu.

Dabiri-Erewa said the health centre, which was handed over to women, is Mbasiogu’s contribution from the diaspora.

Legit.ng previously reported that the chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, explained what the organisation was doing to tap into the human resource of Nigerians abroad for all-round advancement.

She mentioned what NIDCOM was doing to employ human capital to broaden investment opportunities in Nigeria and increase the country’s foreign direct investment.

Abike said that Nigerians are the best at whatever they do in the world, and when human resource is tapped into, the country will gain better than what it is getting in the oil sector.

When asked what investment opportunities the commission was presenting to Nigerians abroad, the NIDCOM chairman said they were looking at sectors like agriculture, education, health care, and others.
