NFF president Amaju Pinnick excited about president Buhari’s re-election

President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Amaju Pinnick has stated that he and his administration are excited about the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.

President Buhari who is the incumbent of the All Progressive Congress (APC) beat his rival former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in total states and total votes to emerge the winner.

The Amaju Pinnick led NFF administration also were also re-elected in late 2018 and are looking forward to developing a good working relationship with the presidency.

In a statement by the NFF, Pinnick stated that the success of his administration in the last four years is down to the president and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

He said, “The NFF is excited by the victory of President Buhari. We attribute all the successes that we have had in football in the past four years to His Excellency, working closely and in unison with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and other key members of his administration.”

Pinnick went on to state that despite the previous accomplishments, he and his administration are willing to double their efforts for the success of football in the country.

He said, “The Government of President Muhammadu Buhari has been providing the conducive environment necessary for the game of football to thrive in our dear country and we believe that the next four years will be even more fruitful for Nigerian football.

 “We will always remain very grateful to His Excellency and his Government. We have received the maximum support from the administration. We will work even harder in the next four years to take Nigerian Football to even higher heights of excellence.”

Since his appointment as NFF president, the Golden Eaglets won the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations in 2018 while the Super Falcons of Nigeria have won two Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) titles.
