Hosting the Eagles Is Bitter-Sweet – Ugbe

| June 22, 2012 | 0 Comments

Cross River commissioner for sports and youth development, Patrick Ugbe and the state sports officials heaved a sigh of relief as the Super Eagles took a break from their qualifications campaigns.

Though the commissioner was happy having the Eagles in his domain, he spoke of how he and his officials have been sapped out by the highly demanding job of keeping the team and the bevy of Nigeria football federation officials comfortable.

“We are extremely happy having the Eagles around. But it’s been really crazy making all the arrangements for them to be comfortable,” said Mr. Ugbe

NFF technical committee chairman, Chris Green stated that the Eagles have found a home in Calabar.

“Everything is perfect here. This is one of best natural pitches we have in the country, so the Eagles will play the remaining of their matches here.”
