Egypt’s Assistant to Minister of Interior in Sinai District, Osama Ismail, said on Saturday that state of emergency is declared in Sinai due to information received by the Intelligence Office stating that a group of Jihadists are planning an attack on the Police in the governorates of South and North Sinai.

Ismail said that the police forces are continuing their efforts to coordinate with the heads of Bedouin families in Sinai to establish security and stability in the area, reported the Middle East News Agency.
