The High Elections Commission (HEC) will announce the final results of the referendum on the constitution on Monday 24/12/2012.

The second stage of the referendum wrapped up Saturday in 17 governorates amidst high turnout of voters. The HEC extended the voting hours to 11:00 PM instead of 7:00.

Immediately after the voting was over, the process of vote counting started in the sub committees prior to sending the results to the HEC which will announce the final results.

The counting process was attended by representatives of NGOs and media people.

The second phase of the referendum on the new constitution draft is conducted under full judicial supervision.

Member of the HEC General Secretariat Counselor Mahmoud Chousha said the commission did not receive any complaint and that journalists, media men and representatives of NGOs inside and outside the country were allowed to enter polling stations and follow up the procedures of voting and counting.

On the other hand, the National Council for Human Rights said it monitored 120 complaints including delaying of opening polling stations and late arrival of judges.

Prime Minister Dr. Hisham Qandil followed up the second phase of voting on the referendum through the operation room at the Cabinet Information and Decision Supporting Center.
