Port Said, Egypt — Egyptian protesters demanding the release of prisoners battled police in Port Said for a fourth day on Wednesday, after a man died during the protests Tuesday.

Mohamed Hamed Farouk died from head wound caused by teargas canister fired by police during protest in Port Said on Tuesday.

A health Ministry Spokesperson said 227 others were injured in clashes in the restive canal city on Tuesday.

Hundreds gathered again on Wednesday, throwing rocks at police, who fired teargas to drive them back from a local government building, a Reuters witness said.

At least six people have been killed in the latest wave of protests in the city, including three policemen.
