Egypt: Minister Underlines Importance of Modernizing Agreements With NB States to Increase Egypt’s Water Quota

Minister of Local Development Dr. Mohamed Beshr on Saturday 23/02/2013 said it is necessary to modernize the water agreements with the Nile Basin states to increase Egypt’s quota of the Nile water for the implementation of water projects.

This came during a workshop held Saturday to follow up the implementation of a national plan for water resources.

The minister called for determining the subsidy provided by the State for drinking water and reviewing prices of drinking water according to the total use.
