THE Amalgamated Transporters’ Association of Nigeria (ATAN), Anambra State branch, has promised to partner with the police and other security agencies to fight crime, especially armed robbery and kidnapping.

Meanwhile, the Anambra State Landlords and Land Owners’ Association has expressed satisfaction with the security situation in the state, noting that much has been achieved, especially in combating criminal activities across the state.

Addressing newsmen in Onitsha at the weekend, the state Chairman of ATAN, Ejike Ezeanya, maintained that the synergy between the police and military in the fight against violent crimes has brought peace and tranquility. He commended the effort of the State Police Command led by the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Bala Nasarawa.

“The Police, under the leadership of Nasarawa, with the assistance of the Army in Onitsha and other security agencies, has reduced armed robbery and kidnapping more than the situation under any other police commissioner that has served in the state,” Ezeanya said.
